Late Mr. P.J. Sheth
Founder & Chairman Emeritus
Mr. Praful J. Sheth was the founder of Solitaire Machine Tools Ltd. He guided the Solitaire team as the Chairman for 23 years and gave his valuable inputs and ideas to the team. He was a visionary with a knack for business. He built a strong foundation for Solitaire Machine Tools based on hard work, good work ethics and social responsibility.
Mr. Sheth completed his B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) from VJTI, Mumbai and M.Tech. in Production Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur. He also held a Master’s degree in Business Administration from VJTI, Mumbai.
Mr. Ashok J. Sheth
Chairman & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ashok J. Sheth has completed his B.S. (Mechanical Engineering) from University of Oklahoma, USA. He has an experience of 56 years in the field of machine tools. He took charge as the Chairman and Executive Director of Solitaire Machine Tools Ltd. in the year 2025. He has been heading the team with his dynamic and futuristic approach.
Mr. Hemandra J. Badani
Vice Chairman & Managing Director
Mr. Hemandra J. Badani has done his Bachelors of Commerce, from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. He has extensive knowledge in the field of machine automation and computer programming, gained through an experience of over 40 years in this field. At Solitaire, he mainly focuses on PLC and CNC related programming and troubleshooting. Besides technical contribution, he is also looking after Administration and Human Resources.
Mr. Harsh Badani
Joint Managing Director
Mr. Harsh Badani is a B.Tech. (Production Engineering) from D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai. He completed his M.Tech. in Design Engineering from BITS, Pilani and MBA (Marketing) from MS University, Vadodara. He was appointed as the Joint Managing Director in the year 2025. With over 20 years of experience, he has brought a fresh outlook to the company with his new and innovative ideas.
Ms. Shilpa Taneja
Non-Executive Director
Ms. Shilpa Taneja operates an advertising agency in Mumbai and has an extensive experience in the field of marketing and management.
Mr. Bharat V. Shah
Independent Director
Shri Bharat V. Shah did his B. Tech (Electrical) from IIT, Bombay in 1971 and joined a German MNC in Motor Design Department. Then in 1975, he established his MSME unit manufacturing Special Purpose Motors in Vadodara. During the subsequent years, they developed motors for Machine Tools, Textile Machinery, Chemical Plants and then Navy. He was appointed as an Independent Director for Solitaire Machine Tools Limited in the year 2019.
Ms. Kesha K Tanna
Independent Director
Ms. Kesha Tanna is a commerce graduate. She is currently associated with Niyogin Fintech Limited, in Mumbai. She has wide experience in the field of Audit and Finance.
Ms. Nishita G Rajput
Independent Director
Ms. Nishita has done Masters in CSR field besides other educational achievements. She is a Social Worker in Vadodara and has been operating an NGO for Girl Education.
